souls
so what is a soul anyway?
they say you can feel it but can you?
or is it like air, you only feel it when its wind, soft or breezy , but still wind
and what does it mean, a photograph captures someones soul, or you sell your soul to the devil, or you love someone with all your heart and soul.
it seems the word soul is used quite loosely in language.
to sell it, to own it, to feel it, give it, to love with it.
so many uses for one such word, it's meanings different to all, they say when you die your body stays on earth and your soul ascends to heaven, but how do we know this? at funerals of loved ones do we look to the sky to watch our lost one's soul flee towards the heavens? or do we look to the ground in grief?
and who says that your body cant go with your soul, or if your soul even looks like the you thats on your body?
perhaps...if we could look into someones soul, or even pull out our own, would it take the shape of what our insides are really wanting, really screaming for, what we want to say but filter, out of frustration,
what is your soul dying to say?
has it taken a grotesque shape in which you hold a grudge or hatred ,
has it shrivled into nothing for fear of your own life, or of others,
or has it been brought up to unexplainable standards only to be broken down and belittled by heartbreak or those closest to you not believeing in you and your thoughts.
if we do indeed have souls...what will you do with yours?
